How it all started... With a cylinder head! The TU5J2 has bigger valves than the standard cooking 1.4 engine thats in the 205. I stripped the head and cleaned it within an inch of its life. Next came the block. This was complete and from a 106 XSi 1.6. It was totally rebuilt, with rehoned liners, new bearings and piston rings throughout. The final engine spec can be found here

The cylinder head as I got it. Also shown the manifolds and TB's.

Pistons as they came out of the block. Running a little rich maybe? Piston shown then after cleaning. Piston dish measures to be approx 4.27cc

Crankshaft, pistons and rods after a good clean and check

The cylinder block after having a hone and going through the washer

The cam and vernier, both from CatCams. The cam is the 4900645 profile

Rebuilding the cylinder head. All seats had a gentle lap to clean them up....

... Before and after lapping the seats

Installing the new cam into the cylinder head.

Head built up, also showing Exhaust manifold and fuel rail
