Engine Specification

My decided engine spec for "Phase 1" (E.g I can't afford fancy forged high compression pistons and headwork just right now!) is:

:: Rebuilt TU5J2 (1.6 8v from 106 XSi) base*

:: Rebuilt TU5J2 head (From 106 Rallye)

:: Jenvey SF 45mm Throttle Bodies

:: Custom Inlet manifold

:: Custom Right Hand engine mount

:: Catcams 4900645 Cam (280 degree, 11.25mm lift, 2.65mm @ TDC and CatCam adjustable Vernier pulley

:: SBD/Bosch (0280 150 744) 240cc @ 3bar Injectors

:: TU5J4 (1.6 16v) Multi Layer Steel headgasket

:: 10.2:1 Static Compression Ratio

:: 4-2-1 Stainless Steel exhaust manifold (Modified 106 Raceland)

:: Emerald K3 ECU

:: 60-2 Trigger using standard crank

:: Standard TU Wasted spark Coilpack

:: 3.5 bar fuel pressure

:: Estimated output: 150bhp, 115(ish) lbft

*TU5J2 Spec (Standard, in a 106 1.6 Rallye)

Bore x Stroke:: 78.5mm x 82mm, 103bhp@6200rpm, 97 lb ft @ 3500rpm

The TU5J2 engine is quite different from the normal 1.6 TU engine which is found in most Peugeots and Citroens such as the Saxo VTR for example. It has a different cylinder head, a longer duration cam, higher compression pistons and a different ECU to achieve the power increase.
